Connect an AI assistant to Venus AI

Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, and other compatible assistants to Venus AI's tools and account-authorized information. It gives technical founders, CTOs, AI teams, and developers a direct path into approved Venus AI workflows.

Choose your assistant below and follow the steps. Each path ends by pasting the server URL above — except Claude Code, which connects with a one-line terminal command.

ChatGPT

Connect to ChatGPT

    Open the ChatGPT Apps settings and enable Developer mode. If it's unavailable, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it for you.

    Open the New plugin dialog to start creating a custom MCP server.
  3. 3
    Enter Venus AI as the name and paste the MCP server URL above into the URL field.
  4. 4
    Review the details, check "I understand and want to continue" (ChatGPT shows this for every custom MCP server), then click Create.

    Enable Venus AI from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use the app.

Claude

    Open the custom connector dialog — the name and URL are prefilled for you.

    Review the details and click Add.

    If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose Add custom connector, name it Venus AI, and paste the MCP server URL.

    Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use the app.

    Run the one-line install command below in a terminal — this is the whole install, no config-file editing needed:
    claude mcp add --scope user --transport http venus-ai '/mcp'

    Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm Venus AI is connected.

    Claude Code may ask you to sign in from that menu — the app protects its MCP tools behind authentication.

    Ask Claude Code to use the app.

    Open your assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.

    Create a new remote MCP server connection.
  3. 3
    Name the connection Venus AI and paste the MCP server URL above.

    Finish any sign-in or authorization prompts.

    Enable the connection, then ask your assistant to use the app.

Refresh after the app changes

A connected assistant caches the tool list, so after Venus AI ships updates you'll need to refresh the connection to get the latest tools.

    Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select Venus AI.

    Scroll down to Information and click Refresh.

    ChatGPT can't update an existing app's URL — if it changed, delete the app from Plugins and repeat the connect steps above with the latest URL.

    Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.

    Open the Connectors page and select the Venus AI connector.

    Refresh or update the connector's tools.

    Claude can't update an existing connector's URL — if it changed, remove the connector and repeat the connect steps above with the latest URL.

    Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the app's latest tools when it connects.

    If the URL changed, run claude mcp remove venus-ai, then run the install command again with the latest quoted URL.

    Select the connection created for Venus AI.

    Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.

    Start a new chat or session and ask the assistant to use the app.

What your assistant can do

Once connected, your assistant can use the tools and retrieve the information enabled for your account. Authenticated users can only access information authorized for their account and assigned permissions.
